Rebrand Corporate Identity IVA
Rebrand Corporate Identity IVA

We recently stumbled upon this exciting and very drastic rebranding and thought to share their new look with you guys.
Not only did they change their name from Danmarks Biblioteksskole to IVA (Informationsvidenskabelige Akademi), but they also stepped back into the 21st century realizing that they needed to speak to a target market that has changed drastically with the digital era.

After

Make, the studio who redesigned the new identity had the following statement about the conceptual approach:
A new visual identity was introduced in 2010 that captured the new brand positioning and name change. The brandmark was based on the Fibonacci sequence which is employed across the boundaries of art, science and mathematics. It was supported with a flexible visual system that incorporates imagery from the ever-expanding fields of human knowledge.
The branding or rebrand really does carry through a beautiful message of the merging of modern technology that meets a world of information, the stuff that modern day Library Science is made of. At the same time they made the brand “student-friendly” keeping in mind who they are talking to and what their target market would actually respond to, nevertheless they have accomplished creating a brand (rebrand) that still demands the respect it deserves.
